More Australian Troops Mooted For Afghanistan

The Australian Government is expected to announce, today,
that up to 1000 troops will be going to Afghanistan to assist
in the war against excrementism (terror).

The deployment will be made in response to requests
from the Afghanistani Government and the USA.

The Australian SAS has played an important role in both
Afghanistan & Iraq in both wars although it has not yet been
announced which military units will be sent overseas on this occasion.

In recent years Australia has played a leading role in peace
keeping in East Timor and The Solomon Islands and has
been one of the nations of the willing in its support
of it's friend and ally, the United States.

Australian still has troops in Iraq,
however it has withdrawn from East Timor which is now
a self governing nation and manages its own security.
